A nine-member team of Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) subject-matter experts from Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va., participated in an Exercise Guardian Response 2019 (GR-19) training conference at Camp Atterbury Ind., Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, 2018. The event featured more than 350 active and reserve members from the Army, Navy, and Air Force and DoD civilians, representing almost 100 different units of the DoD Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Enterprise (CRE). Attendees included units of the Defense CBRN Response Force (DCRF) as well as the Army Reserve CRE Alpha and National Guard CRE Bravo (C2CRE-A/C2CRE-B). CBRN Response Enterprise Readies for 2019 Exercise Year, Mission

Camp Atterbury Ind. — More than 360 active and reserve Army, Navy, and Air Force members and DoD civilians from almost 100 different units nationwide representing the DoD Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Enterprise (CRE) met for a training conference at Camp Atterbury Ind., Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, 2018 to plan for Exercise Guardian Response 2019 (GR-19).

The DoD Defense CBRN Response Force (DCRF) Mission Year 2019 Mobile Training Team was conducted Nov. 27 through 29, 2018, at Fort Hood, Texas. DoD units supporting DHS along Southwest Border

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — The Department of Homeland Security has requested the Department of Defense to provide a range of assistance, including planning, engineering, transportation, logistics and medical support to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Marine Sgt. Maj. Paul McKenna, Command Senior Enlisted Leader, North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and United States Northern Command (NORTHCOM), is briefed by members of Joint Task Force Civil Support (JTF-CS) July 13 on the command’s chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) equipment. McKenna visited JTF-CS for a tour of the headquarters of the nation’s only standing chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear response force. When directed, JTF-CS is ready to respond in 24 hours to provide command and control of 5,200 federal military forces located at more than 36 locations throughout the nation acting in support of civil authority response operations to save lives, prevent further injury, and provide critical support to enable community recover.
