DoD Releases Update of Manual Governing Defense Intelligence Activities
WASHINGTON — The Defense Department has released an update of procedures, first published in 1982, that govern the conduct of DoD intelligence activities.
Air Guard units provide critical communications link for Northern Strike exercise
GRAYLING, Mich. - Squadrons of Airmen from Illinois and Utah are providing the communications backbone for Northern Strike 2016. The 264th Combat Communications Squadron from Peoria, Illinois, is providing the communications hardware and infrastructure support for the exercise, operating from three locations at the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center and the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center in northern Michigan.

SBIRS GEO Flight 3 Arrives in Florida, Prepares for October Launch
CAPE CANAVERAL AIR FORCE STATION, Fla — The U.S. Air Force’s Space Based Infrared Systems program completed a major program milestone on Aug. 2, successfully delivering a Geosynchronous Earth Orbit satellite Flight 3 to Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.
Southern Border Visit
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — Air Force Gen. Lori J. Robinson, commander of NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, travelled the Southern U.S. Border visiting NORTHCOM mission partners and units July 19-21, 2016. She received mission briefs and aerial tours in Texas and Arizona.
U.S., South Korea, Japan Discuss Recent North Korean Missile Launches
WASHINGTON — Representatives of the United States, South Korea and Japan conducted a senior-level videoconference to share information regarding two recent North Korean missile launches.
Inter-American relations program benefit Mexico, U.S. militaries
Lt. Gen. Perry L. Wiggins, commanding general of U.S. Army North and Fifth Army, hosted a U.S. Military and Secretaria de la Defensa Nacional delegation in Kansas City, Kansas, as part of the 70th Fifth Army Inter-American Relations Program July 18 to 22. The visit included a stop at Fort Riley to meet with 1st Infantry Division Soldiers.
