Over 200 soldiers, Coast Guardsmen and state and local officials are participating in the two day operation that is being run by Joint Task Force Alaska. Vigilant Port's scenario includes a terrorist threat targeting military equipment being shipped via the port. The Port of Anchorage is one of 15 US strategic seaports and approximately 90 percent of all consumer goods in Alaska flow through the port.  The exercise is set to  end late Wednesday afternoon.
