MAFFS crews wrap up second-busiest fire season in 49-year history

TYNDALL AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. — The USDA Forest Service released the final four U.S Air Force C-130 Modular Aircraft Firefighting System-equipped C-130 aircraft Sept. 29, marking the end of a 96-day support effort.

Female engagement team continues to evaluate female evacuees needs at Fort Bliss’ Doña Ana Complex

FORT BLISS, N.M. — Afghan evacuee women at Fort Bliss’ Doña Ana Complex in New Mexico meet weekly with female leaders to address their concerns and ease their transition into American life.

ARNORTH concludes military wildland fire ground response operation in California

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — At the request of the National Interagency Fire Center, and in support of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service, U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command’s Joint Force Land Component Command, concluded its wildland fire ground response operation in California.

ARNORTH military hospital support to FEMA begins in Tennessee, continues in five states

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, approximately 20 military medical personnel deployed to Tennessee to support civilian healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients in local hospitals.

Gender advisors from U.S. Northern Command, U.S. Army North and the U.S. Office of Defense Coordination in Mexico City joined a team from the U.S. Defense Institute of International Legal Studies (DIILS) to deliver Women, Peace, and Security focused training to lawyers and emerging leaders in the Mexican Army and Air Force (SEDENA) and Mexican Navy and Marines (SEMAR) Aug. 1 – 13 in Mexico City.

ARNORTH military hospital support to FEMA begins in Idaho, Arkansas, expands in Alabama

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, approximately 60 military medical personnel deployed in three, 20-person teams, each to one of three states – Idaho, Arkansas and Alabama – to support civilian healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients in local hospitals.
