An MH-60S "Knighthawk" from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 85, the "High Rollers" lifts a full 420-gallon capacity extinguishing trough today from a local resevoir not far from San Diego's ongoing wildfire.

The trough allows massive amounts of water to be dumped on San Diego's ongoing fiery disaster that has already forced more than 250,000 people from their homes across the San Diego county.

The MAFFS exercise is a one week annual training and recertification joining air and ground personnel from the Federal Department of Agriculture's Forest Service, U.S. Air National Guard and U.S. Air Force Reserve units. The exercise consists of eight C-130 aircraft that fly continuous missions dropping water on South Carolina’s Sumter National Forest to prepare crews for wild land firefighting missions.
