A U.S. Army UH-72 Lakota helicopter with Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 140th Aviation Regiment, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), joins El Paso Air Branch, Air and Marine Operations, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), to identify and monitor illegal activity in El Paso, Texas, Aug. 21, 2025. During this deliberate operation, JTF-SB operated in coordination with CBP Air and Marine Operations to identify the sources of laser activity targeting aircrafts supporting southern border security. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of CBP to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
