The F-35B is a fifth-generation stealth fighter designed for short takeoff and vertical landing (STOVL) allowing it to operate from ships and austere environments to conduct air-to-air, air-to-ground and electronic warfare operations. AE25 is a NORAD and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
