U.S. service members assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) participate in the Air Assault certification course at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., April 21, 2026. A Mobile Training Team traveled from Fort Campbell, Ky., to host the course for JTF-SB service members to strengthen readiness in support of the Southern Border mission. U.S. Northern Command is working side-by-side with the Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within narrowly defined authorities to provide unique military capabilities to protect the territorial integrity of the U.S. southern border.
