TOK, Alaska - A parachute bundle descends during an experimental drop as a part of Arctic Edge 25 (AE25) near Tok, Alaska, Aug. 12, 2025. The experimental resupply system demonstrated how the military can sustain operations in environments where global positioning systems are denied or disrupted. AE25 is a North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command-led homeland defense exercise designed to improve readiness, demonstrate capabilities, and enhance Joint and Allied Force interoperability in the Arctic.
