FORT DRUM, N.Y. - Spc. Joe Parks, a horizontal construction engineer with the 642nd Engineer Support Company, directs Spc. Sam Kamano, a horizontal construction engineer, with the 642nd Engineer Support Company, to what areas need to be grated down, within the Army Reserve 99th Readiness Division’s Equipment Concentration Site, at Fort Drum, New York, May 10. The site commonly floods after harsh snowfalls melt or heavy rains have raised havoc on the concentration site. “The weather here really messes up the ground, especially with the weighted vehicles constantly driving over the motor pool,” said Spc. Sam Kamano, a horizontal construction engineer with the 642nd Engineer Support Company. “So we’re spreading gravel and leveling out the lot for the reserve unit.” (U.S. Army Reserve photo by Sgt.
