Members of the 8th Civil Support Team leave the safety of the decontaminated area May 3, 2012, and approach a chemical sprayer used in a simulated chemical attack on the U.S. Air Force Academy. The 8th CST members performed a reconnaissance of the area, taking air samples in an effort to determine the nature of the chemical used in the attack. U.S. Army North, a subordinate of U.S. Northern Command, is responsible for evaluating CSTs every 18 months.
