Command Sergeant Major Kevin Dorsh, a native of Washington State, enlisted in the Army in 1999 and served first with 2nd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment in Korea. In 2000, Command Sergeant Major Dorsh passed the Special Forces Assessment and Selection Course and graduated the Special Forces Qualification Course in 2002.

They include the Combat Infantry Badge, Bronze Star Medals, and Department of State Meritorious Honor Award.
Command Sergeant Major Dorsh is married to the former Ms. Elisa Reagan of White Plains, New York, and they have two children, Liam and Aidan.
