At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, approximately 440 Department of Defense military medical and support personnel will deploy to Georgia and Ohio to support two state-run, federally supported Community Vaccination Centers.

Fact Sheet: U.S. Army North COVID-19 Vaccination Site Support Since February 2021

U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command's Joint Force Land Component Command, has overseen the Department of Defense's COVID-19 response operation in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Department of Health and Human Services since March 2020. This fact sheet reflects assistance to state-run, federally supported community vaccination centers since February 2021.

The command center of the North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Northern Command, known as the N2C2, was recently awarded the Air Force District of Washington’s annual U.S. Air Force Service Watch/MAJCOM Command Center Award and they will compete at the Air Force level.
